Whilst I may have been misled by TVNZ over the reasons for the live feed back to NZ i still enjoyed going down there and being on TV. My parents saw me which means I don't have to go homenow for another 2 years!! Cheapest way of keeping in touch I've ever found!

Bring on ANZAC Day.

Something fun to do on an otherwise 'normal' London working day. How cool to be at Buckingham without the normal huge crowds of tourists.

However I have a feeling if there was alcohol on offer no matter what time of day there would have been hoards (hundreds) of expat Kiwi's resembling those who turn up for the Waitangi Day Pub Crawl! ;)

The old folks story is weirdly wonderful although the situation for the couple with kids sounds really unfortunate. They were obviously sidelined for the light and fluffy story but at least Dad got to have a say on TV (albeit brief) for his family. Their situation is really messed up, what kind of crazy people run the office? Who the hell has kids for the sake of a visa? There's a lot more involved in giving birth and raising children - being a female I can't believe anyone would have babies and make a lifetime commitment just for a visa. Its not like NZ is a third world country and they're desperate for salvation in the UK?! I can't believe anyone would just have kids to get a visa? Especially considering the UK is the mothers home country? Madness. Must of been a ruling by idiots who don't have children or theirs something more to the story...

Regardless congrats, Carl, Cam-o-Bear, Jo and Becster (adopted Kiwi) for getting up with the birds to say hello to your mother's and mother country.
